Instant noodles are incredibly popular in Taiwan, even given the nickname “The Kingdom of Instant Noodles.” Taiwan’s national food is beef noodles, so you can understand why it is so popular. The local convenience stores and super markets are packed with different varieties of instant noodles. There are a few that are widely considered to be the best and most popular. Fortunately, they are able to be purchased online.

Man-Han Feast Instant Noodle Cup ( 滿漢大餐)
These Taiwan instant noodles are far and away the most popular in Taiwan. They come in four flavors: beef, chili beef, spicy hot pot beef, and spicy pork. These noodles are famous for including actual chunks of beef in the pack. The soups are incredibly hearty and warming, making them perfect for fall or winter.
Packs of these instant noodles are often given as gifts or brought back after visiting Taiwan. I am a big fan of spicy hot pot, but its not very cheap to eat very often. So when I’m craving spicy hot pot, I’ll pick up a pack of the Man-Han spicy hot pot instant noodles.

來一客 Seafood Flavor Instant Noodles
來一客 are another popular brand of Taiwan instant noodles. The shrimp flavored noodles are incredibly popular and among the top selling instant noodles in Taiwan. It is even popular with Taiwan’s president Tsai Ying-wen, who packs some with her when she travels abroad. There was a mini-panic when some Taiwanese citizens were reporting that the shrimp flavor wasn’t in stock, leading to fears of discontinuation. Fortunately, the staff hadn’t re-stocked them yet.
I definitely recommend trying these instant noodles. I remember eating the shrimp flavored Maruchan noodles in the USA. These instant noodles are way better. There are actual vegetables included and the soup is filling. Definitely try these noodles if you are looking for some seafood flavored instant noodles.
Tseng Noodles (曾拌麵)
These Taiwan instant noodles are often included on Top 10 lists and some of the most popular abroad. These are ribbon shaped scallion noodles that are best mixed with your choice of vegetables or meat. The best and most popular flavor is Sichuan pepper.
If you’re looking for instant noodles to complement a meal then these are one of the best options. The Tseng noodles are committed to quality and consistency. These instant noodles are incredibly tasty and definitely worth checking out if you’re into instant noodles.
Moms Dry Noodle (老媽拌麵)
Mom’s Dry Noodles are another popular spicy dry noodle that have a nostalgic street-vendor taste. Like the Tseng Noodles, they are another dry noodle that would benefit from adding meat, vegetables or both! In Taiwan, it is popular to eat them with just the sauce. Mom’s Dry Noodle has an excellent texture and will leave you craving more.
These instant noodles are really easy to make and have a great taste. If you are not a fan of spicy flavor, you can limit how much spicy sauce you put in. If it were not for the large amount of calories I would eat multiple a day. I really love adding green onions to the noodle. If you ever try these noodles, you should definitely try it!
